It could not have been a more perfect day last Tuesday afternoon. The sun was shining on the clear, snow-capped mountains, skies were blue with only a few scattered white clouds for the artistic effect.
“What a great backdrop for the Canadian Rockies International Airport,” beamed Cranbrook Mayor Ross Priest. “Let’s take a look out there and show our big city guests what it really looks like in the country.” Together with other municipal, provincial and national representatives, members of the airport committee and a large number of spectators, Priest was on hand to celebrate the official opening of the improved and expanded Canadian Rockies International Airport.
